Biology May Help Solve the Energy Crisis

Here is a link to a speech by Craig Venter (the guy who sequenced the human genome first) about him probably being able to alter a simple organism to produce fuel from CO2 and sunlight:

I believe this technology will have massive ramifications on everything from future fuel to pharmaceuticals.

It is well worth the 30 minutes spent viewing this speech. Larry Page, co-founder of Google, is in the audience and asks a question.
