I love my iMac, but lately, the Mighty Mouse scroll wheel has stopped working intermittently. It has been driving me CRAZY! Anyway, to fix this problem, unplug the mouse and roll its wheel relatively vigorously in all directions on a dry towel. I did this and it worked like a charm. If that doesn't work for some reason, you might try a TINY bit of water or alcohol on something and do the same. I would make sure it is COMPLETELY DRY before I plugged it back in though.
